Rick Short

Rick Short began his study of the martial arts in 1983.  Over the years he has developed a blended style that utilizes Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Jujitsu, and Jeet Kune Do.  His program challenges the student to be the best they can be and to develop strength from the inside out.  His teaching style is positive and encouraging and provides the student with an environment conducive for learning.  He has headed up numerous programs around Houston, Pearland and the Bay Area.  Rick has a great commitment and concern for his students and looks forward to serving them through AcroKicks.

 
Robert Buckreis

Robert Buckreis or "Big Buck" as he is affectionately known began his love of martial arts fifteen years ago.  Soon after his four year old son began training, Buck joined the program as a student.  Today both he and his son are master level martial artists.  He is retired from the USAF and has a strong work ethic along with a heart of gold which motivates students to be disciplined.  Buck is a storehouse of martial arts knowledge blended with a compassionate spirit making him a highly qualified teacher.

 
Ron Sanchez


Ron Sanchez is a third degree blackbelt and has studied martial arts for the past fifteen years.  He is a strong supporter of the martial arts.  Two of his children have also achieved the blackbelt.  Ron is the Director of Learning and Education for a large federal agency and is working on his PhD degree in Organizational Leadership.  He is researching leadership skills developed through martial arts training for the dissertation.  Ron who is nearing his master level in martial arts provides a wealth of knowledge, patience and compassion to our program.

 
Anthony Tupper

Anthony Tupper began his martial arts career in 1998.  Through hard work and perseverance, he achieved the rank of third degree blackbelt in 2008.  Anthony's encouraging and enthusiastic style of teaching is highly motivational.  He is a leader to children in learning to overcome obstacles and difficulties.  His positive attitude and talent are assets as a martial arts teacher.
